Coordination

Coordination

Coordination includes the ability to coordinate multiple body parts or movements for successful completion of a motor task. Coordination is required for participation in all gross and fine motor activities including rolling, crawling, reaching, walking, jumping, climbing on the playground, catching a ball, and all sport-related activities. Physical therapists work on these areas with children to improve their coordination and ability to participate in age-appropriate activities in a coordinated manner.
